Review - Incredibles, The
Clever, enjoyable, truly suspenseful at times, but not as funny as I expected.
People (cartoon people) actually died in this movie. There were explosions and rocket attacks and shooting. The theater was jammed with mothers with tiny kids — even three in strollers — and it didn’t seem to be entirely suitable for them.
Best line. Helen reminds Bob that Dash’s graduation is that night. Bob says Dash isn’t graduating, he’s just moving from fourth to fifth grade. Helen says they still have to go. Bob replies something like this; “They’re always finding new ways to celebrate mediocrity.” Amen. Amazing that that bit of reality got into a movie.
