Reviews for A Hard Day's Night
Review - A Hard Day's Night
The basic plot portrays the Beatles dealing with the pressures of Beatlemania — schedules, demands, screaming fans. In The Beatles: A Biography, by Bob Spitz, the plot is described as a typical day for the band except without the drinking, drugs and sex.
So, I'm not recommending the band here ... But this is, in places, a hilariously funny movie. Ringo's adventures during his wanderings are very funny, and I've rarely laughed as hard as I did when Paul's grandfather shows up during the concert at the end.
I'll leave it at that. It's short and doesn't have much in the way of substance, but if you enjoy the Beatles' music (there are seven songs in the movie) and want a couple good laughs, check it out.
