Description:Marnie (Tippi Hedron) is a compulsive thief. When Mark Rutledge (Sean Connery) catches her stealing from his company, he offers her a choice — prison or marriage. Marnie resents him and refuses to let him touch her. Mark investigates her life and finds out about a traumatic event when she was a child. Her mother was a prostitute and was attacked by a client who was showing interest in Marnie. Marnie grabbed a poker and killed the man. The repressed memories have made Marnie frigid and and a thief. Once Mark gets her to remember what happened, she decides to stay with him.

Review - Marnie

Well-acted, but goofy. I can understand Mark liking and even trying to help Marnie. But marrying her? And the way Marnie flips out whenever she sees the color red (that reminded her of the blood of the man she killed) ... That was a bit much.
