McNaughton, Wisconsin — Spider Lake Road

I was walking though a white pine woods. The Wood Frog hopped out of the grass down into the rock garden. I caught it and put it in the bird bath by the porch where it sat for long enough for dad to study it. It then hopped out of the bath and under the wood shed.

It was tan with a dark brown ear patch that ended abruptly. It was about two inches long when sitting.
