For What It’s Worth

This one isn’t original with me. I believe I read it in Reader’s Digest. But I’ve adopted it as my own.

When we’re young, we worry about how others think of us.

When we’re middle aged, we don’t care about how others think of us.

When we get old, we realize others haven’t been thinking about us at all.
