In June, 2001, Sally traveled to Great Britain for two weeks for a tour with the choir from our church. I decided to take a short vacation of my own while she was gone. Our older daughter was on a missions trip with our church and our younger daughter was hanging out with her aunt and uncle. I drove up to Rhinelander to meet my nephew Jeff, and we took off on a trip through Michigan and Ohio.
We drove east through the Upper Peninsula of Michigan along the north shore of Lake Michigan. We stopped briefly in Manistique to stretch and take a look at the lighthouse. We couldn't get close because the breakwater was undergoing repairs. I managed to keep the construction equipment out of my photos.
I thought this sign was funny. It's amazing what some people need to be warned about.
