Review - Head

I'm not going to pretend that I understood this movie. It was written, in part, by Jack Nicholson, had no plot and made no sense.

The Monkees filmed it in rebellion against the strictures places on their own show by the television studio, but when it was first released the publicity campaign didn't mention that they were in it. During its first run, it made $16,111 in ticket sales.

The four Monkees stumble through a series of unrelated skits, stopping to sing a couple songs along the way. There was parody, anti-war protest, psychedelic patterns and a few really funny parts.

I laughed out loud when Mickey blew up the Coke machine with the tank after accepting the surrender of the Italian army. See? I told you it made no sense.
