Description:Rancher Grant’s (Ralph Bellamy) wife (Claudia Cardinale) has been kidnapped by the Mexican revolutionary Raza (Jack Palance) . Grant hires four men (Burt Lancaster, Lee Marvin, Robert Ryan, Woody Strode), all experts in their field to travel into Mexico and recover her. They fight off several bands of revolutionaries on the way, then stage an attack, with generous amounts of dynamite, on the hacienda where Raza and his men live. They find the wife, but also discover that she’s Raza’s lover. They head north with her, pursued by Raza and several of his men. While three of the men head for the border with the woman, Dolworth (Lancaster) stays behind and shoots it out, killing all the men but Raza who is wounded. He brings Raza to the border where they all meet up with Grant, but by now, the men have figured out that Grant’s wife belongs with Raza, not with Grant. They let the two of them go and follow along to keep Grant and his men from pulling anything.

The acting was fine, as was the action, but the plot was so stupid as to make the movie just silly. I've watched it twice and don't get the ending. Grant stands there with five armed men and lets his wife (over whom he's just made a huge fuss) ride away with Raza. Fardan (Marvin) calls Grant the kidnapper, so I guess he let his wife run away to Mexico and sent the four men after her because he thought the'd kill Raza? I'm still not sure.
