Review - Mogambo
Set in Africa, with a lot of footage of native and animals. Grace Kelly and Ava Gardner were lovely, but the plot was predictable and the drama was overblown.

Description: | Big game trapper Victor Marswell (Clark Gable) returns to his camp one day to discover Honey Bear Kelly (Ava Gardner). She'd been on her way to meet up with a sheik, but he abandoned her. Marswell and Kelly have a fling, but when rich adventurer Donald Nordley shows up with his wife Linda (Grace Kelly) Marswell's affections shift — to the disgust of Kelly. Marswell and Mrs. Nordley connect, but when it comes time to confront Donald, Marswell gets noble. He returns to camp and gets drunk. Kelly finds him and ends up in his arms. Linda comes discovers them and shoots Marswell in the arm. When Donald arrives, Kelly blames it all on Marswell to protect Linda. The Nordleys leave and Kelly stayes with Marswell. |
