Review - Flying Down to Rio
Ridiculous. I liked Fred and Ginger's characters, but the plot was lame, as was the finale with the girls dancing on the wings of biplanes.

Description: | Roger is a band leader who falls in love with Belinha, a South American socialite. He flies her to Rio, where he is performing in his best friend's hotel. He discovers that his best friend is actually Belinha's finace. Roger decides to back off, but the friend realizes Belinha would be happier with Roger and arranges for them to be married. Fred Astair and Ginger Rogers are along as members of Roger's band. Their dance scene was so popular, they were paired in several more movies. |
