The plot was simply silly and I have never cared much for Cagney or Davis.

Description: | Oil heiress Joan Winfield (Bette Davis) decides on a whim to marry a musician she's only known for four days. Pilot Steve Collins (James Cagney) is hired to fly them to Las Vegan for an elopement. Collins is in debt and about to lose his plane. He makes a deal with Joan's father to bring her to him and prevent the wedding in exchange for enough money to keep his plane. Steve tricks the musician to leave the plane and takes off with Joan. They crash land in the desert and find a ghost town where miner Pop Tolliver (Harry Davenport) lives. There's a lot f slapstick and confusion, but in the end Steve marries Joan and gets the money to keep his plane. |
