I went to Valco Ponds in Pueblo because an Orchard Oriole and a Bell’s Vireo were seen there yesterday. I found them both within 45 minutes. The Bell’s Vireo was moving around in the willow scrub and singing constantly.

Red-necked Phalaropes in the Pueblo fish hatchery pond.
On the way home, I stopped at Clear Spring Ranch, where I saw a pair of Orchard Orioles. The female posed for me, although the light was terrible.
I also stopped briefly at Adams Open Space where I found a Lazuli x Indigo Bunting hybrid. It was singing a Lazuli Song.
On the day, I saw 67 species, including three new for the year and one new for Colorado.
