Red-eyed Vireo

A Red-eyed Vireo has been reported from Bear Creek Nature Center on the south side of Colorado Springs. The song of this vireo was a constant background noise in the woods of northern Wisconsin when I would visit my parents. The one at Bear Creek was doing his best to make a constant noise. Once I found him, I was in ear-range for probably 45 minutes and there may have been a couple stretches of 30 seconds when he wasn’t in full voice, but that was it. A Warbling Vireo was also in the immediate area but making much less noise.
