| Description: | Part of John Wayne's cavalry trilogy. Lt. Col. Kirby Yorke (Wayne) is in charge of a troop stationed on the Rio Grande and instructed to wipe out a band of raiding Apaches who flee into Mexico. His son Jefferson washes out of West Point and enlists and gets sent to Y orke's command. Yorke's estranged wife Kathleen (Maureen O'Hara) follows the boy to bring him home, but Yorke insists on letting the boy do his duty. In the end, the boy proves himself a man, the Apaches are dealt with and Kirby and Kathleen are back together. |
