Review - Notorious
Great suspence. A bit slow moving in places, but you can't help liking Grant and Bergman.

| Description: | Devlin (Cary Grant) is an American spy. He contacts Alicia Huberman (Ingrid Bergman) whose father has just been imprisoned as a Nazi spy and asks her to travel to Rio to meet up with Alexander Sebastian (Claude Rains), an associate of her father who is suspected of involvement in a Nazi plot. Alicia is rather wild, but after she meets Devlin, she falls in love and cleans up her act. Devlin loves her too, but has a hard time believing she's reformed. Alicia's assignment is to seduce Sebastian — she eventually ends up marrying him. She finds out the Germans in Rio are collecting uranium and tells Devlin. Sebastian finds out and, with his mother, starts poisoning Alicia. Devlin, who never stopped loving her, realizes what is happening and rescues her at the last minute. |
