Description:British Major Smith (Richard Burton) teams up with several British agents and American Ranger Schaffer (Clint Eastwood) to rescue and American general from prison in a German fortress. Except the general is really a double and several of the team are spies for Germany. It's all an elaborate plot to expose the German spy in British intelligence. Smith and Schaffer, with the help of a couple female agents, rescue the general and manage to destroy the fortress, kill dozens of German troops, and expose the spy with a lot of shooting and an inexhaustible supply of dynamite.

Review - Where Eagles Dare

Fun to watch, but ridiculous. The amount of dynamite Eastwood and Burton's characters carry with them, the number of Germans they kill (with only one insignificant wound to Burton's hand in return, the complicated plot to expose a traitor that was already suspected.
