This is a very sad movie about two people who love each other but are incapable of making each other happy — for very long anyway. Albert Finney is rather annoying, while Audrey Hepburn somehow manages to be her usual lovable self while playing a character with serious flaws.

Having said that, it's also a very funny movie with several scenes reminiscent of Planes, Trains and Automobiles.
