Review - Bend of the River
While Stewart's character was fun to watch, the plot had holes large enough to drive his wagon train through. The movie also had an amazingly-high body count. Men were getting shot left and right, but there was very little blood, and as soon as anybody died, everybody else seemed to immediately forget about him — even the director, because although there were people dropping like flies, I rarely saw any bodies on the ground.
Tim pointed out that the worst part of that movie is when Jimmy Stewart’s character needs the help of a rope to get pulled out of what appeared to be about 8″ of water.
