Reviews for Topper
Review - Topper
It had pretty good special effects for the time, and some good acting related to the special effects, but the story, apart from an occasional laugh, was just silly.

| Description: | Rich playboy George Kerby and his wife Marion crash their car on the way home from a night on the town. They’re dead, but stuck in limbo because they haven’t done anything bad — or good. They set out to do a good deed so they can become angels. They pick Cosmo Topper, president of George’s bank. Topper is henpecked by his wife and has no fun. They take him out and get him drunk and arrested for disorderly conduct. When his wife reacts, Topper leaves. Marion joins him in a hotel and creates all sorts of scandal. George follows and creates a lot of chaos. Meanwhile, the butler has convinced Topper’s wife to let down her hair. When Topper goes home, his wife greets him with a kiss. George and Marion, having done their good deed, disappear. |
