Description: | Guy Holden (Fred Astaire) is a dancer who chances to meet Mimi Glossop (Ginger Rogers) and falls in love. She keeps putting him off. What he doesn't know is that she's in an unhappy marriage and seeking a divorce. She hires Egbert Fitzgerald, Guy's friend, as her lawyer and he helps her set up a situation at a hotel where it looks as though she's spending a night with another man. Guy tags along and meets Mimi. When he finds out what's going on, he determines to spend the night with the two of them. When Mimi's husband shows up, he figures out what's going on and refuses to give Mimi a divorce, but then a waiter recognizes him and reveals that he has another wife. |
