Description:When cop McQ (John Wayne) is pulled off the case investigating the murder of his partner, he quits the force and investigates on his own. He suspects the culprit is Santiago, a gang leader, but soon finds out that police are involved also. His investigation reveals that his partner was stealing drugs confiscated by the police and that his partner's widow and another cop had him killed to get the drugs. McQ kills the crooked cop and Santiago and his men when the come to get the drugs.

Review - McQ

I wanted to root for Wayne, but he was too old and too fat to be convincing in this role. It was supposedly made to follow the popularity of Bullitt and Dirty Harry, but both those movies were a lot gritty and more realistic than this.
