He's helped by Gloria (Shirley Grey) whose father Frank is the chief suspect. But Larry soon figures out that the "Wrecker" is always disguised as somebody else. There's a shipment of gold involved too, as a MacGuffin. A couple dozen plane, car and train chases later, the wrecker, a railroad executive, is caught. He makes a deathbed confession that he did it because he wanted to chase the head guy out of his job and take over.

Reviews for The Hurricane Express

Review - Hurricane Express, The

Originally a serial in 12 chapters. Seven of those chapters were stitched together to create this movie which jumps about from scene to scene with ridiculous frequency. The quality is so poor and the acting so lame that, five minutes into it, I didn't care who the Wrecker was or whether he was caught. The movie could have been called Planes, Trains and Automobiles because not two minutes went by when there wasn't a chase scene involving one or more of them.

But there was one interesting thing about it. The masks the Wrecker wore not only gave him the facial features of the man he was impersonating, but the voice, the height, the mannerism and the clothes.
