Description:Sir William "Bill" Rutland (Cary Grant) is in Tokyo during the Olympics and can't find a room. He responds to a notice from someone looking for a roommate and finds himself on the couch of Christine Easton (Samantha Eggar), a young woman engaged to a stuffy man at the embassy. Bill meets Steve Davis (Jim Hutton), a young American architect/athlete who also can't find a room. Bill befriends him and takes him back to Christine's and lets him stay on the other couch — because he likes both the young people and wants them to end up together. He has to deal with their own reluctance, with Christine's fiance and with security officials who think Steve is a spy, but Bill wins out in the end and gets Christine and Steve married.

Review - Walk Don't Run

Cute, with likeable charactes, but not much plot. This was Cary Grant's last film because, at 61, he didn't feel like he could play the romantic lead anymore and didn't figure his fans would care to see him in strictly character roles.
