Review - Tartarin of Tarascon
Amusing, fun, a bit sad, but for the most part a simple romp.

| Notes: | Tartarin is a fat, middle-aged Frenchman who is thought to be a great hunter. His reputation forces him to go to Algeria in search of lions. He has many misadventures, loses his money and shoots a lion … sort of. COMMENTS — Tartarin was billed as The New Don Quixote. Daudet is chiefly remembered for his sentimental tales of provincial life in the south of France. |
