The Genesis Record

by Henry M. Morris
Category: "Theology"
Pages:668
Year of Publication:1976
Date Read:09/02/1988
Notes:The only commentary on the complete book of Genesis written by a creation scientist. Dr. Morris writes from the conviction that the first 11 chapters of Genesis are as truly historical as the remaining thirty-nine. This conviction is not based simply on faith, but on many years of study of the scientific aspects of the Genesis record as well as the interchange of ideas with many scientists and theologians.

Review - Genesis Record, The

On my second reading of the book, I was struck by how much speculation Morris did—not generally on major issued, but in order to fill in gaps in the record and make it more of a narrative. Still, some of his guesses felt like stretches. But overall, it's very much a worthwhile read.
