Goofy indeed, but clever. I found the final variation to be the most amusing.

| Notes: | If you think about it, the story of Rumpelstiltskin makes no sense. Why did the miller tell the king his daughter could weave straw into gold? Was he drunk or just stupid? And why was Rumpelstiltskin willing to weave an entire room full of straw into gold in exchange for a gold ring? He could have all the gold he wanted. After pointing out these and many other flaws, the author gives six variations on the tale. They're silly, but that's the point. |
