COMMENTS — Although best known for his Sherlock Holmes stories, Doyle wrote many more novels of adventure including Sir Nigel, a sequel to The White Company; The Exploits of Brigadier Gerard, humorous short stories about a soldier in the Napoleonic Wars; and, The Lost World, a science fiction novel.
