This isn't one of the cozy English countryside kind of mysteries. There's quite a bit of foul language and the descriptions of violence get pretty graphic. But there's also a lot of book lore, and the mystery actually makes a fair amount of sense. It's the first in an ongoing series, and I'll probably check out the next one at least.
