Notes:There was nothing extraordinary about Kenneth Gibson. Fifty-five years of age and a bachelor, he led a quiet, comfortable, well-ordered and uneventful sort of life — until he met Rosemary James. She was reeling from the death of her father, alone and without hope. What started as a kindness grew into love. But after the accident ... things just didn't seem the same. That's when Kenneth decided to steal the poison.

Review - A Dram of Poison

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to read a steady parade of books of this nature, but for this one time, the plot device was so original and the characters were so well drawn that I found it fascinating.

I can't say much without ruining the plot, but if you would like to read a mystery that breaks the mold and concentrates more on character than on crime, try it.
