Notes:Lloyd Wescott is an excellent resort manager. He knows better, but when he gets a good officer from a syndicate boss, he bites. He soon discovers that he's trapped — trapped in his job and trapped in his feelings for the boss's wife, a girl who onlyl wants to escape the monstrous life she chose. They run and get caught. Lloyd is within inches of death when he's rescued by a village of outcasts and brought back to life. He returns to deal justice to those who did him wrong, but in the end realizes he's a better man than that.

Review - Empty Trap, The

The story of a competent but aimless man who makes a wrong mistake and almost dies (and what is worse, almost loses his morality). In the end, he goes back to a simple life of labor with people who live honorably.

The basics are good, but somehow the book misses. Maybe it's not flushed out enough. I'm not sure.
