Notes:Brady and his two associates, Dermott and Mackenzie, are hired by oil companies in Alaska and Alberta to track down the people who sent letters threatening the supply lines. They don't prevent the threats from being carried out, or several people from being murdered or injured, but they do eventually discover that the security guards from both companies are working with the manager of the Alberta plant to create the havoc and demand $1 billion and have them arrested.

Review - Athabasca

I found it impossible to care about any of the characters in this book or to care about or even believe the plot. By this time in his career, MacLean was mailing it in, and his distinctive devices had just become cliches and shortcuts to skip inconvenient plot holes.
