Notes:A complicated novel about Bourne, an American thief who steals three Spanish paintings by substituting copies. The tables are turned on him, however, when the art is stolen from him in turn. The new thief is willing to return the three paintings if Bourne will only steal for him a huge Goya painting from the national art museum.

Review - Happy Thieves, The

I didn't care for it. It wallowed in philosophy in places, wasn't funny enough to be humorous or serious enough to be suspenseful. In the end, everybody was betraying everybody and I had quit caring.
