Notes:There's a new continent just being created on Discworld, one that looks a lot like Australia. Rincewind, the wizard, ended up there somehow with an important purpose, although he has no idea what it is. A talking kangaroo keeps helping get out of the troubles he's constantly getting into. Meanwhile, the other wizards from Unseen University crawl through a hole in time and space and end up there too. It's all very confusing, but in the end, they end up inventing Vegamite and the platypus. And Rincewind, without ever really knowing what he's doing, causes it to rain for the first time ever.

Review - Last Continent, The

I'm not sure how Pratchett does it. His books aren't really about anything except making fun of things because he's an atheist and doesn't believe there is any reason or purpose to anything. But he still manages to be cleaver enough to keep me reading, hoping for one of his really great moments. For example, in this book there's a city in "Australia" called Didjabringabeeralong, which sound exactly like a city in Australia.
