Review - A Voyage Long and Strange

Interesting, education and well worth reading but somehow not quite as satisfying as his other books. Maybe this is because he wrote about events scattered across 600 years and thousands of miles, or maybe it was because it took me a long time to read because of other things going on. He doesn't intrude himself into the book much, as usual, but I think the book might be a bit better if he entered into the story a little more.
