Review - Pumpkin Rollers, The
Certainly not great literature, but interesting and well-written enough for the three hours or so it took me to read it.

| Notes: | Trey McLean leaves home to make his fortune as a rancher in west Texas. His cows are soon stollen from him and he has to sign on as a cowboy driving a herd north to Kansas. On the way, he meets Sarah, a local farm girl, and on the way back south, she runs off and joins him. The herd master gives them a job on his spread, and they spend an exciting summer branding calves, fending off outlaws and trying to defend a shady friend from a determined lawman. They survive and gain a partnership in the growing ranch. |
