Notes:It's the 1590s on the border between Scotland and England. A noblewoman (Godiva) and her lady-in-waiting (Kylie) are traveling to the lady's castle when they are held up by a Scottish bandit (Gilderory) who steals their jewels. Enter Archie Noble, an English secret servant. He has discovered a plot to kidnap King James and put an imposter on the throne of the soon-to-be-combined kingdom. With the help of Godive and Kylie — and Gilderoy who turns out to be an agent also, they kidnap and imposter and thwart the plan.

Reviews for The Reavers

Review - Reavers, The

There was a lot more to the plot than what I've revealed here, all of it written in a ridiculous tongue-in-cheek style that steps out of the period and laughs at itself, much in the style of Fraser's The Pyrates. There are some funny bits, but mostly it's just silly.
