Review - Night
Almost dispassionate in places, but with sections that are very moving, particularly when Wiesel talks about his loss of faith in God.

| Notes: | An autobiographical novel of Wiesel's own experiences during World War II. His family was taken to Auschwitz where his mother and younger sister were killed. He and his father were put in a work camp and managed to stick together for eight months. In January, 1945, the entire population of the camp was moved back from the Russian front. The long march in freezing weather killed his father. Elie was in Buchenwald at the end of the war when it was freed by the American army. |
