Notes:Darwin's account of his five-year journey around the world on the H.M.S. Beagle which was engaged in a surveying mission of both coasts of South America. Darwin went along as naturalist and was free to explore whenever the ship was near land. His observations led him to his theory of evolution.

Reviews for The Voyage of the Beagle

Review - Voyage of the Beagle, The

Interesting as a travelogue, although somewhat dry (and I read an edition with the dryer parts removed). Darwin was observant, and his tendency to surmise how things came to be the way they are is admirable. I think the main reason for his ultimate error in determining cause is that he, like so many, was reasoning against the version of creation as preached in the church and was unaware of, or uninterested in, the what Scripture actually says.
