Review - Stranger in the Forest
A quick, fascinating read. I get the feeling I wouldn't see eye-to-eye with Hansen much, but his adventure was well worth reading.

| Notes: | In the early 1980s, Hansen took off into the interior of Borneo with nothing but a few trade goods he could carry on his back. For the next five months, he walked across the island and back in the company with the native residents, adopting their lifestyle and, after a while, their manner of thinking. At one point, he was mistaken for an evil spirit and attacked. He describes the plant and animal life, but concentrates mostly on the people and the way they live. |
