Notes:An epistolary novel about Juliet, a writer in London right after WWII. She begins a correspondence with several members of a book club on Guernsey about their experiences during the German occupation. She decides to write a book about them and visits the island. She falls in love with the place and the people and especially with Dawsey, a local farmer. By the end of the book, she's married him and adopted Kit, a young girl orphaned by the war.

Review - Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, The

Cute, but it ended sloppy. The people had modern views on several issues (good and bad) that weren't realistic and the story was predictable and sappy. But it was a quick, pleasant read most of the time.
