Notes:A history of the Battle of Britain, including the political and military decisions in Great Britain and Germany that led to the development of the planes, radar and strategy. Korda points to Air Chief Marshal Sir Hugh Dowding as the hard-to-get-along-with but ultimately correct predictor and organizer of the defense that would win the battle — sending small groups of fighters to attack specific targets to hide the true numbers of British planes and to avoid wasting resources.

Review - With Wings Like Eagles

Excellent, just what I was looking for. Explained in detail, but in terms I could understand, exactly what was happening. It covered everything from politics to strategy to tactics with enough anecdotes thrown in to keep it interesting.
