Notes:The author and a varying number of companions travels across the United States, from the Atlantic to the Pacific, on rivers using a small motor boat, a canoe and a raft. They travel up the Hudson to the Erie Canal, down the Allegheny and Ohio, up the Mississippi and Missouri, down the Salmon, Snake and Columbia. The book is mostly about the trip itself, with brief sides about the people they meet and the towns they visit.

Review - River-Horse

I like the author's writing and quest for adventure. I was envying him his trip across country until he wrote that he destroyed his marriage to do it. I'm also saddened by his determination to mock God and those who believe in Him at every opportunity.
