Notes:Subtitle: Discovering America in a Rowboat

The author takes two years to row a circuit around the eastern half of the United States. First, he rows a small boat from New York up the Hudson, through the Erie Canal, down the Allegheny, Ohio and Mississippi Rivers to the Gulf. After a break, he takes a larger boat along the coast from the Mississippi to Maine. The book covers his travels and the people he meets along the way.

Review - On the Water

Enjoyable, but not as good as other, similar books I've read. This guy seemed to have no purpose to life other than to stay in his boat and avoid responsibility. When he was relating his adventures, it was good, but whenever he tried to be deep, he just got silly.
