Notes:Fone Bone and his cousins Phoney and Smiley get chased out of Boneville and end up in the Valley, a strange land where people, rat creatures and dragons vie for power. Bone meets Thorn, a young woman with whom he immediately falls in love, while Phoney just searches for ways to make himself rich. The three Bones live with Thorn and her Grandma Ben. As the year passes, things get violent. The Locust teams up with the rat creatures to attack the humans and gain control of the Valley. Thorn finds out that she is a princess, the heir to the throne. The war goes badly, but in the end, the good guys win. The Bones return to Boneville and Thorn becomes Queen of the Valley.

Review - Bone

I liked the main characters and the setting, but all the goofy mythology about dragons turned to stones and the Locust and ghost circles and other mystical stuff just got overly complicated and boring. The artwork was inconsistent — sometimes good, sometimes sloppy.
