Review - Book Thief, The

The book grew on me. It took me at least half of it before I found its rhythm and began caring for the characters. The narration by Death was an interesting plot device, but I don't know that it was necessary—not because it wasn't done well, but because I kept thinking that a lot of the people Death gets to know have equally interesting stories.
