Review - Autumn Across America
Teale is a good writer. He makes even his descriptions of scenery interesting. The chapters were basically nature essays and varied in interest based on the topic. Some of them were fascinating. The trip they took occurred 65 years ago, before Interstates and urban sprawl. The America they saw was vastly different than America today — better in many ways, worse in others (particularly where species that were seriously threatened at the time have come back).
