Notes:Seth travels with his buddies to Miami where he is getting married to Tina, daughter of one of the richest men in the country. Plans begin to unravel when a taxi drops them off miles from their hotel and they head into a bar to decide what to do next. What they do is get drunk, and soon Seth finds himself in the company of a Cuban girl named Cyndi who is helping him locate his suitcase which contains Tina's wedding ring. Trying to escape the stripper who was hired for his bachelor party, Seth heads to the beach — just in time to save a Haitian woman and her two children from drowning. He takes the family to his hotel room and leaves them in the care of the stripper while he and Cyndi travel to a small zoo to pick up the suitcase. In the confusion, they end up with an orangutan named Trevor in the back of their car. This leads to a whole lot of misunderstanding and confusion and soon they are on the news. Meanwhile, Tina decides the Haitians are going to mess up her wedding. She sends her father's bodyguards to get rid of them. When Seth finds out about this, he takes off after them. Confusion escalates and he soon finds himself on a tourist pirate ship evading the bodyguards and immigration officials. He meets with Tina and realizes she's a jerk. He calls off the wedding and then marries the Haitian woman as a desperate ploy to keep her from being deported. Eventually, Seth and Cyndi, who stuck with him through all the chaos, get married and the Haitian woman is allowed to stay in the states.

Review - Insane City

The plot was much more complex than I've reported, with drug-induced brownies, a large snake, Tina's father walking around in a flamingo costume and one of the richest men in the country buying a pizza place so he could get a late night delivery.

Ludicrous and slapstick, but a fun read.
