Notes:Gregg was a trader who traveled from Missouri or Arkansas to Santa Fe and back four times. He recounts is rather uneventful trips and goes into the manners and customs of the Mexicans, the Indians, and the traders.

Review - Commerce of the Prairies

It was a lot less about the Santa Fe Trail than I expected. Several chapters covered Indian customs, plants and animals of the prairies, Gregg's travels in Mexico. Much of it was dry, although he did include some anecdotes. None of it was particularly memorable.
