Review - Last of the Middle West, The

When the book was about sightseeing—especially when it delved into local history or centered on places I've been—it was interesting. When it drifted into a memoir of the author's childhood, it was less so. Nothing in his story was particularly interesting, and the characters came an went without giving me a reason to care.
