Notes:Quentin has a crush on his next-door neighbor Margo. They were friends when they were kids but she ended up with the cool kids and he ended up with the band kids. Then one night just before graduation, she comes to his window and talks him into a night of adventure, pulling pranks on people and sneaking into places. Then she disappears. She leaves clues and he follows, becoming obsessed with finding her. He determines that she's living in an abandoned building in rural New York — a place marked on maps but with nobody living there. He takes off with three friends and finds her. But she didn't want to be found. They talk and connect but realize that they want different things — her to go to NYC, him to go home. But in that moment, they realize that they've finally seen and understood each other.

Review - Paper Towns

A lot of promise. It kept me reading and very interested. But it didn't end the way I want it to. Maybe because it was written for teens and I don't suffer that angst anymore. Nor do I think it's all that crucial to understand everything about other people. There was the constant thread of crude language and bathroom humor typical of teen novels.
